FPV drones
What is FPV drone
An FPV drone is an unmanned aerial vehicle that allows you to see the flight as if you were in the cockpit of the drone itself, thanks to the First Person View (FPV) function, which translates to “first-person vision”. This effect is best experienced when using fpv glasses, which completely immerse the operator in the flight.
If the kit does not include glasses, you can view the image on a monitor or tablet. In this case, the experience will not be as vivid and realistic, but even when watching the flight through a tablet or monitor, the UAV operator controls every maneuver of the aircraft in real time, which is especially important in combat conditions or when performing complex aerial reconnaissance missions where high accuracy and speed of response are required.
Key features of professional FPV drones
Dimensions
In the USMT store, you can buy an FPV drone with different propeller diameters suitable for different tasks:
- 7 inch – Hunter D-3 series kamikaze drone, ideal for targeting enemy personnel and dugouts. It can carry up to 1.5 kg of payload. It can be equipped with a thermal camera, which is ideal for reconnaissance in poor visibility conditions. The range of this drone is 20-25 km. The flight time is 15 minutes;
- 8 inch – a balanced model that combines ease of operation and flight stability. It is most often used to work on enemy equipment or concentrations of personnel. Such a drone can carry a warhead of up to 2 kg, can fly up to 15 km, and can stay in the air for up to 20 minutes;
- 9-inch – more stable in the air, provides long-term operation at longer distances. Our website offers various 9-inch models of drones. There are those that are designed specifically for work on air targets (ORLAN, SUPERCAM, ZALA) – this is the Hunter D-1A series. They have a flight range of 20 km and a top speed of 180 km/h. There are also classic Hunter D-1 kamikaze drones, which are suitable for targeting enemy equipment. They can carry up to 2 kg of ammunition, fly for 15 km, and stay in the air for up to 20 minutes. They can also be equipped with a thermal chamber. They are suitable for both reconnaissance and strike operations;
- 10 inches is the largest in the series, characterized by flight stability and greater energy efficiency. Our website offers different models of 10-inch drones – Hunter D-1K kamikazes and Hunter D-2 bombers with one or two drops. Both series can carry 2.5 kg of payload and stay in the air for 15-20 minutes. They are suitable for work on heavier enemy equipment. They can be equipped with a thermal camera and used for reconnaissance and strike missions in poor visibility conditions (smoke, fog, etc.)
The product range also includes UAVs type Wing that can be equipped for various functions: scout, repeater carrier, kamikaze.
Speed and agility
USMT’s professional FPV strike drones are characterized by extremely fast control response and exceptional maneuverability, making them ideal for demanding missions. They are capable of reaching speeds of up to 140 km/h, providing a quick response to operator actions. Thanks to these characteristics, HUNTER drones are used to detect and destroy enemy vehicles, manpower, enemy shelters, and other tasks where every second counts.
High quality camera and low latency video transmission
USMT offers to buy a FPV drone with a camera that ensures minimal latency and allows the pilot to instantly respond to changes during the flight. Thanks to this, the operator has full control over the drone even at high speeds. In addition, the drone’s camera has a high resolution, which guarantees clear and stable footage during flights. Models with a thermal imager allow detecting and destroying enemy targets at night, as well as operating in bad weather conditions with reduced visibility.
Range and battery life
Professional FPV drones from USMT are able to operate efficiently at distances of up to 20 km, which is ensured by powerful transmitters and reliable communication channels. This allows operators to fly over long distances without losing control of the drone. A stable signal is critical for the successful completion of tasks, especially in difficult conditions. In addition, the quadcopters are equipped with high-quality batteries that ensure a long flight time. This allows us to significantly expand the capabilities of drones and perform combat missions with high quality.
USMTR’s own communication protocol
USMT’s FPV drones fly under EW thanks to their own secure LoRa communication protocol. The use of the FHSS technology allows you to select and switch the central control radio frequency from the remote control without the need to flash the transmitter and receiver. Each receiver binding to the transmitter generates a new FHSS channel switching sequence, providing the ability to connect up to 15 receivers with different bandwidths, as well as an unlimited number of receivers with the same bandwidth. USMTR also allows you to select the frequency of control packet transmission from 8 to 100 Hz, and data encryption guarantees secure data transmission. Stable communication is not completely lost even if up to 98% of control packets are lost.
Innovative technologies in USMT FPV drones
We manufacture copters that are distinguished by a number of advantages and innovative solutions that make them extremely effective for professional use in various conditions:
- Innovative solutions. Our monitoring department is in constant contact with combat pilots to collect feedback. This allows us to continuously improve our drones and technologies, adapting them to the needs and conditions of combat operations.
- Drones with frequency hopping (frequency hopping). Such devices change frequencies during flight, which makes it difficult to intercept signals and interfere with control.
- Resistance to EW: Our UAVs can fly under EW thanks to our proprietary secure USMTR communication protocol. This makes them resistant to attempts to jam or interfere with control signals. At the same time, the price of an FPV drone in Kyiv remains quite affordable.
- Customization of solutions. USMT offers the ability to customize FPV quadcopters according to specific customer requirements. This allows you to adapt the UAV to specific tasks, including additional modules, cameras, or software changes.
How much does an FPV drone cost
The cost of an FPV drone in Ukraine depends on several important factors:
- technical characteristics – the price is influenced by engine power, battery capacity, range and altitude, payload, flight time, and maximum speed;
- camera quality – models with high resolution and stabilization are more expensive;
- protection against EW – drones equipped with the USMTR encrypted communication protocol, which makes UAVs resistant to EW, are more expensive;
- innovative solutions – drones with unique features or customized solutions for the client also have a higher price.
